Marissa and Ryan

Marissa Romero and Ryan McKee were married on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Paul Apostle Catholic Church.  Marissa and Ryan are one of the nicest and most photogenic couples you will ever meet and it was a pleasure to help them celebrate their wedding day!

After the ceremony, guests arrived at Quarters One on Arsenal Island for cocktails.  Quarters One is the second largest official federal residence in the United States, behind the White House, and it is located on the Rock Island Arsenal Army Base in the Quad Cities Area.  During the cocktail hour the Quad Cities received a rare Summer thunderstorm (rare because the Midwest is enduring an extreme drought during the Summer of 2012).  The rain really poured down but stopped just long enough for guests to make the walk from Quarters One to the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club for the wedding reception.

Guests arrived at Marissa and Ryan’s wedding reception to find the grand banquet room decorated in purple up-lighting from Black Tie Entertainment, spring green chair sashes from All Pro Custom Productions and floral arrangements from Milan Flower Shop.  The room looked outstanding!

Army Birthday Ball June 17, 2011

The 2011 Quad Cities / Rock Island Arsenal edition of the United States Army Birthday Ball took place at the fabulous Waterfront Convention Center on June 17, 2011 at 17:30 hours.  For the 5th consecutive year Black Tie Entertainment was honored to be selected to provide music for dancing during the later portions of the event.

The Army Birthday Ball is a wonderful event and features many interesting ceremonies at different portions of the evening, such as a Color Guard, Streamer Ceremony, Toasts, A Cake Cutting Ceremony and a guest speaker.  It has always been one of my favorite events of the year and this year was no exception.  Men attend with full dress uniform and ladies can be seen in fabulous evening gowns.

Army Birthday Ball-June 19, 2009

This year Black Tie was honored to again serve as the music provider for dancing at the annual Army Birthday Ball.  The 2009 version of the annual event was held on Friday June 19 at the sparkling new Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf Iowa.

This event is open to the public and features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a receiving line, a streamer ceremony, dinner, a cake cutting ceremony, guest speaker and, of course,  a dance.

The Army Birthday Ball Event has grown to become one of my favorites over the years, and with the move to the new convention center the Birthday Ball is now bigger and better than ever.
