Jessica and Connor McGee June 9 2012

It was way back in October of 2010 when Jessica Pryor and her Mom walked into our office to talk about Jessica and Connor’s June 2012 wedding reception.  Jessica was a very busy medical student and wanted to get an early start on her wedding plans so she could focus on her future medical career.  Jessica struck me as someone who was focused, organized and had a bright future ahead.  I was delighted when she selected Black Tie as her entertainment provider and knew ahead of time that it would be a great party!

Flash forward, almost two years later, and Jessica and Connor McGee arrived at their wedding reception to find a fantasy land awaiting them, alive with colors of pink, purple and orange.  All of this was arranged by Peg and Jim from Exceptional Events in Moline, creators extraordinaire of perfect wedding receptions.

Jessica and Connor are ready to celebrate!

Jessica and Connor’s family and their 225 guests at the iwireless center in Moline were a DJ’s dream, packing the dance floor from the very first dance.  This was a great group!

Jessica and Connor’s wedding party included:

Parents of the Bride – Ron and Joanne Pryor

Parents of the Groom – Mike and Taylor McGee

Ushers – Mike Renfro, Chris VanTiem

Bridesmaids – Kate Wojcicki, Sunita Saigal

Groomsmen – Ryan Stack, Liam McGee

Maid of Honor – Caitlin Pryor

Best Man – Sean McGee

Jessica and Connor danced their first dance to “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz.  We created a custom mix of Phil Vassar’s “She’s On Her Way” for the Father Daughter dance, featuring the voice of Jessica singing at the age of 2.  It was a special moment!

Here are some photo highlights of Jessica and Connor’s unforgettable wedding reception.  Please visit our Facebook page for more photos of the party.

Jeff and Betsy Adams-July 18, 2009

Knowing that Betsy and Jeff are one of the most enthusiastic couples I have worked with recently, I was not the least bit surprised that their wedding guests were an energized group.  Guests were in attendance from many locales, including Chicago, the East Coast, Wisconsin and many others.   And they were all truly thrilled to be a part of the wedding of Betsy Zwit and Jeff Adams.

Planning a wedding for mid July typically involves preparing for lots of heat and humidity.  Such was not the case on July 18, 2009 as unseasonably cool and dry weather prevailed.  After a 1:00 PM ceremony at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport guests had some time to unwind before arriving at the i-wireless center for a 5:00 PM reception.  The bridal party took some time for a photo shoot on the boat docks as approximately 200 guests filed into the banquet room decorated in the wedding colors of Charcoal Gray and Lipstick Red.

The bridal party made a spectacular entrance into the room at 5:45 PM.   Members of the bridal party included in the entrance were grandparents Liz Brelsford, Jean Adams, and Joe and Marge Novinska.  Parents included Lori Brelsford, Richard Zwit and Tim & Patricia Adams.  The remainder of the wedding party featured Dave Adams, Mikey Adams, Jordan Gremchuk, Ella Vincent, Ben Tollard, Nathan Tollard, Tracey Schulz, Kate VenHorst and Kelly Flenker.  Bridesmaids and Groomsmen included Justine Gremchuk, Charlie Adams, Jenn Vincent, Aaron Alcorn, Evie Zwit, Andy Adams, Tina Zwit, Bryan Tallyn, Tiffany Haugh and Matt Adams.  The Matron of Honor was Pamela Tollard and The Best Man was Preston Vincent.

Mr. and Mrs. Adams burst into the room through a paper frame on which was written the words “Jeff Loves Betsy” in green lettering.  “John Deere Green” by Joe Diffie was the musical backdrop for their entrance.  Jeff and Betsy then performed a well-choreographed first dance to a custom mix of “Heaven” by DJ Sammy.

Toasts were presented by Pamela Tollard and Preston Vincent.  Betsy and Jeff then formally welcomed their guests and spoke briefly.  Uncle Ken Brelsford offered a prayer and  the guests were treated to a sit down dinner.

Dancing began after dinner, kicked off by a rousing Bridal Party dance to “Nothin’ But A Good Time” by Poison.  This was a high energy group who liked to dance!    Some of the highlights of the dance included a serenade to the Bride by Fraternity Alpha Gamma Rho.  The men in the bridal party also changed from their formal attire at some point in the evening into Tuxedo Print T-Shirts.
