Marissa and Ryan

Marissa Romero and Ryan McKee were married on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Paul Apostle Catholic Church.  Marissa and Ryan are one of the nicest and most photogenic couples you will ever meet and it was a pleasure to help them celebrate their wedding day!

After the ceremony, guests arrived at Quarters One on Arsenal Island for cocktails.  Quarters One is the second largest official federal residence in the United States, behind the White House, and it is located on the Rock Island Arsenal Army Base in the Quad Cities Area.  During the cocktail hour the Quad Cities received a rare Summer thunderstorm (rare because the Midwest is enduring an extreme drought during the Summer of 2012).  The rain really poured down but stopped just long enough for guests to make the walk from Quarters One to the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club for the wedding reception.

Guests arrived at Marissa and Ryan’s wedding reception to find the grand banquet room decorated in purple up-lighting from Black Tie Entertainment, spring green chair sashes from All Pro Custom Productions and floral arrangements from Milan Flower Shop.  The room looked outstanding!

Meghan and Nick-June 6, 2009

Meghan Fitzwater and Nick Erhart were happy to see that a rainy Saturday morning turned into a sunny cool Saturday afternoon, just in time for their wedding ceremony and reception.  After a 1:00 PM ceremony at St. Paul the Apostle church in Davenport the guests had some free time to enjoy the afternoon before heading off to historic Arsenal Island in Rock Island Illinois for a 5:00 PM reception.

The Heritage Hall at the Officers Club is a spacious and unique setting for a wedding reception.  During the week it serves as a cafeteria for those working on the military base.  On Saturdays it transforms into an elegant venue for large wedding receptions.   Its super thick limestone walls and steel pillars covered with twinkling lights give the room a military utilitarianism meets black tie formal feeling.

When Nick and Meghan and their wedding party arrived on base courtesy of a Quad City Trolley bus you could tell that they were ready to celebrate.  This was a colorful group, dressed in various tropical colors of peach, kiwi, pool blue and yellow.   Wedding party members were Grant Erhart, Adam Fitzwater, Kayla Isaacson, Lauren Fitzwater, Matthew Fitzwater, Kristi Erhart, Ryan Erhart, Courtney Warning, Troy Erhart, Casie Warning, Jacob Calhoun, Emily Shetler, Tim Erhart, Jamie Barnes and Danny Morgan.  They entered the room to the tune of “Bust A Move” and each couple had some great moves to show off.

Meghan, the new bride, had a delightful smile on her face for the entire duration of the evening, and she lit up the room when entering with her new husband Nick. Meghan and Nick cut their wedding cake and the guests were then treated to a grand buffet served by Sheridan’s Island Catering.
